U.S. manufacturing is one of the largest in the world, producing 18.2 percent of the world’s goods, according to The Balance. Safety, trust, personality, and value are subjects every manufacturing company must keep in mind when dealing with employees and customers. Branded merchandise can be used to demonstrate all of these traits.

Safety Programs

When manufacturing companies are implementing safety programs, it’s vital that management instills in employees a real desire to perform at a high level. Rewarding good work through items with high perceived value can do just that. Offer items like fleece pullovers, embroidered polos, tools and flashlights to employees who hit safety milestones or perform well on safety quizzes and training. According to HR Hub, a chemical product manufacturer improved attendance at safety meetings from 60 percent to 100 percent after implementing a branded merchandise incentive program.

Company Meetings

When manufacturing companies host potential clients, they need to have a certain aesthetic and provide something to potential clients to keep their company top of mind. Suggest items like journals and writing instruments for clients to use during the meeting keep the company logo is visible throughout the negotiations and beyond. Products like power banks, earbuds and tote bags will keep the brand top-of-mind for the trip home and beyond.  Think about it like real life product placement!

Client Gifts

Even after successful meetings, manufacturers need to do more to seal the deal with their potential clients. Customers want to work with companies that have personality, rather than just a faceless business conglomerate. Well-timed, personalized gifts like Bluetooth® speakers, wine sets and coffee tumblers provide the opportunity to humanize a company while promoting its brand.
