Stay Active with Video Marketing

Video marketing has become a great way to engage with consumers and connect your brand in a creative way. To make it easier for you, we’re bringing you three ways to incorporate video marketing into your summer marketing plans

Short videos are king

Social media has completely changed how consumers receive information, opting for shorter more concise information over longer content. That’s why short videos have become so popular in the past year. Consider making short 10-25 second videos that convey your message and show consumers your brand to increase engagement and reach. There are now tons of micro video apps that can shorten videos in seconds. Also, make sure to keep your social media channels up to date and that you continue to interact with consumers that comment or share your video.

Consumer-generated content

An easy way to engage consumers and increase reach is by using the content consumers put on their own social media and other platforms. Consumer-generated content is much more effective at attracting new consumers than a regular branded video. Try designing a contest for consumers to participate with their own video in exchange for a prize. It will help new consumers see the passion other customers have for the brand and products.

Create a call to action

One of the biggest mistakes when making videos is not having a call to action. If a consumer doesn’t know the brand or how to go to your website after the video, you have a problem. Make sure to include a call to action at the end of the video. If you're looking to attract local business, tell consumers to mention the video when they come to the store for an extra discount. Whether you’re trying to separate yourself from the competition or trying to reach new consumers, video marketing is an excellent way to achieve both without spending a fortune.
